The Alhambra Plaques are a collection of fine art plaques reproduced from original carvings of the Alhambra, the Islamic hilltop palace and fortress complex in Granada, Andalucia.

Identity

Manufactured and finished by Haviland Designs, the identity follows the same style as the parent company to aid brand recognition, whilst introducing an Islamic-inspired geometric pattern and diamond-shaped diacritics to the type mark.

Haviland and Alhambra identity consistency

The geometric pattern was also used as the cover of a product catalog, picked out in spot varnish against the matte-black background, with metallic foil applied to the identity.

The brochure is an important promotional tool for Haviland at trade fairs and exhibitions, acting as a prestige piece while also showing the complete range of designs and finishes.
