Printing on to different materials

The construction of the TGV terminal at Charles de Gaule Paris airport was a combined project from Aeroprt de Paris and SNCF. A presentation brochure was required to celebrate its opening.

The brochure design took inspiration from the massive glass structure that created the link from the airport to the underground high speed TGV railway station.

Different layers of materials; plastic, translucent paper and paper were each printed with part of a photograph, that when brought together formed a single image, creating the sensation of depth.

The internal photography was paired with initial concept sketches by the architect Paul Andreu, to show ideas being realised.
